the evil silkie contest! - Ends feb. 1st

We got some with an order of variety bantams, one of them, a jap. I call her spaz, she has some sort of problem with her head, walks in varying sized circles, and keeps doing her head like a typewriter, but she walks right into my hand everytime. lol
She's got me suckered, thats for sure. lol

Editing to add fun fact: I hatched all of these out from eggs a friend mailed me. I hatched them in a box with a desk lamp, temperature/humidity gauge, water dishes and wet sponges. I spent many stressful days worried when the temp got too high or the humidity was not just right. Miracle and Marvel were so named because after all my 21 days, the power failed in the midst of the hatch!! I feared without heat they would not make it, but they did! I hatched 4 of 5 fertile eggs. The 5th was fully developed, but for some reason, did not make it out of the egg. These are the first eggs I have ever hatched. We have a special bond.

I also have one other Silkie hen not pictured. Her name is Manna. For awhile I feared Manna was a roo, but she is my first broody Silkie and is now sitting on a clutch of eggs, so come February I may have new pictures to post! I sure love Silkies!
