I also have been recently brainwashed - my silkies arrived 2 weeks ago! They are adorable, and for whatever reason the have allowed my other babies (bantams frizzle cochins, and several standard breeds) to share the limelight. I'm sure they have an ulterior motive.

I absolutely refuse to believe they are chickens! You couldn't convince me in a hundred years that they are chickens! They might have once been chickens but whatever they are now they are not chickens!
In fact I wouldn't let them within a hundred yards of my "real" chickens! Don't blame me if while you are sleeping they suck your guts out. They most definitely look like something from outerspace. They give me the willies good and proper!
