Hey all!
I decide to post some new pictures of my girls' coop, and since it has changed three times, I decide post them all at the same time. It will show how my chicks came from the Chickghetto, to the glorious suburban area they are in now.
First:
My first coop was a rabbit hutch turned into a coop. I placed it down in my family's old dog run.....a run where no dog ever lived. It rarely received shade, and it was terribly dry down there, as it was at the end of our yard. This was the scene of the crime where my chickens' toes were "stolen", right out from under them!
I reused a decorative table for a ladder, and my chickens hopped right up on there into their coop!

Second:
I bought this coop of Craigslist.com for $250, it also came with a bag of pine shavings, a waterer, a feeder, 2 Chanteclers, and a heat lamp! I thought it was a pretty good deal!

I put the little green gate directly in front the door in the grass, and within a month of two, all of the grass was gone! The chickens had eaten it till it was brown and muddy. Luckily we go onto the next renovation......
Finally, the third renovation:

We moved the woodpile, and pushed the coop around a little. The fence went around the coop instead of in front of it.

I keep the cleaning supplies and food behind the coop on the right hand side, where it is out of the way.

Chicken swag.

The girls, and yes, I painted the pots! And then I let the flowers die while on vacation...oops!

Thanks for looking! I am really happy with my whole coop set up. I like how they get shade almost all day, and the lilacs surrounding the coop. It is a big improvement from the little hutch I started out with!
