The Fall of Ethel the Mother Hen

Ethel was the queen of the Coop until she went broody and became a massive hormonal irritable lady. She sat on whatever she could in the coop only to emerge for water and food, for 47 days! It was a hard time having the other girls accept her back in the flock. After 1 month of slowly reacquainting her they have all accepted her except the new Queen/Mother hen,Jane. She constantly bullies Ethel and pecks her neck. Now her neck Is almost bald! My question is, is there any way to get Jane to stop attacking her for good.?

Perhaps you might isolate Jane for a couple of days or so and then see if she still goes after Ethel. If it doesn't work try for a longer period. Maybe watching Ethel if possible but not being able to get to her wil allow Ethel to heal a bit and break Jane of the queen status a bit. Post if you try this how it works. I hope Ethel will be ok.
