After waiting for what seems like forever the quail are finally laying! I do believe it was more exciting than anything thats happened around here lately.

I found one this morning and when I went to check on them at nightfall there was another egg!

This is one of the culprits:

I know eggs are nothing new but they sure have made my day today!

I know how you feel. My chickens we raised this summer, finally gave us an egg today. I was so excited I texted everyone in my phone. A few comments back were, Do you have a life? That usually happens. and the best was from my daughter. One egg is better than 7 puppies! Her dog never showed signs of being in heat or prego. Seven later, I like my egg better.

it is so gratifying to have those little eggs! i should plate them in gold because at this point theyre worth ALOT when you factor in the price of everything. bigkford i know how you feel, i got the same reactions as well... and

on your eggs! hopefully there will be many more to go!
