Is it too late to join? I just set 30 eggs (15 Wheaton Americana, 5 MF, 5 BLRW, 4 Cochin, and 1 EE) May 30th at 7pm.

WOO HOO! I get to enter!! But my eggs will be a little behind!

My friend has two hens that are sitting on a nest well its too hot for them to be sitting and she will be gone on vacation when they hatch. They have already been sitting a few days so that is why she just doesnt simply take the eggs away.

She asked me to hatch them and guess what! She takes the chicks back after hatch!

I love hatching for other people!

I knew someone would ask that. Mille fluer d'uccle I just picked up a striking pair from babymakes6 yesterday. I'm ditching my rooster and adding her poppycock and his hen to my 3 other MFD hens. I need to post some pix

One of our Black Java girls finally became broody last Sunday. Seriously started to sit on Tuesday (May 28th) - she's got 5 fertile BJ eggs under her.

Keep your fingers crossed for us - first time Mom, lowest in the pecking order, favorite nesting box. I've wanted more chicks for eggs this winter. Our current flock will molt about November, so we might not have fresh eggs this winter (

) so we HAVE to have new pullets by June 30th to start laying before the cold starts. With these, we might have that! Wohoo!
