Nice Silkies. From what I can see, there are some pretty good vaults going on there. I don't know much about the seramas.
I have Silkies hatching right now..I have one buff out, and it has a nice big vault!

Thank you. These are the 1st from my pen and some from Marie. While I do have a partridge pair I didn't have them when that egg was laid, I have no idea who the monster partridge belongs too.

Betting I have the WORST HATCH RATE

Out of 91 eggs set I have 20 chicks & 1 duck hatched & alive & 1 egg left to hatch (if it makes it, it's in lockdown now).

Overall hatch rate: 23% (24.2% if this last duck makes it)
Chicken hatch rate: 25.6%
Duck hatch rate: 7.7% (15.4% if this last duck makes it)

I'm not giving up tho. I set another 38 Friday (6/8) and have another 16 ready to go in tomorrow. I have about another 6 dozen headed here in the next 2 weeks.

I was messing with my new little batch of babies and thinking how small these Brahmas are at hatch to grow up to be 10 lb birds! It must be amazing to hatch out the little bantams and the small birds they must be the most precious tiny babies

Nope...I'm in town!!! Babies not sold by Thursday night are headed to the Baltic, Ohio Swap Meet with me this weekend.

Okay Well Today is Day 8 In a few hours it will be Day 9. But anyway I have 18 eggs in my LG incubator. I candled them all on day 5 and only 2 had veining in it. So I candled all again last night and the 2 that had veining on day five had movement in them. There was another one that I wasn't sure. So Out of 18 eggs 3 are maybes. So I hope they hatch
