It's and Icelandic. I got these from a local breeder, so these are my first of this breed.

Went downstairs to quilt this evening with one chick hatched, others barely pipped. Just checked and there are five chicks in there! More pips - still waiting on the blue eggs...

I think it is better than Christmas!! WOke up one morning, I don't stay up to watch anymore, and DH had to wake me to report , then each of the kids, and then I did finally make the trip. ANd yup, the LG was full of puff balls!

THat was weeks ago and I still get excited !!! LOL

Went downstairs to quilt this evening with one chick hatched, others barely pipped. Just checked and there are five chicks in there! More pips - still waiting on the blue eggs...

That is awesome. My day 21 starts tomorrow late afternoonish...so nothing her for me yet. Can't wait to see pictures.

Nope...no pips yet...it is nearly 11pm. I am off to bed soon and will check one more time. I am sure I will be up at least once in the middle of the night to let the dog out, so I can check then again too. I am really not expecting anything till tomorrow though. I have 11 FBCM and 3 Silkie/Showgirl eggs for this weekends hatch.

you may be right Cynthia,, I have chicks trying to peek out as I type, im so happy ,, its 3 am and im wide awake!!! heard chripping and i was up and over that hatcher window in a second!!
