We moved to seperate her from the flock, was that the right thing to do?

Oh, they are so cute!!! Don't you just love them? I have no idea on seperating the hens but I never did it. The girls always took care of their own (and sometimes other gals chicks also!) And if you have a good roo, he kinda helps out along the way too...at least a tiny bit.

I would like to know if moving her and the eggs and the chick seperate from the flock, but still very near them was the right move.

yes seperating her and her chick/s from the rest of the flock is what you should do.

Hey, cutie pie chick! Welcome to Debi's World!

Just an idea, but can you put a little pen type enclosure around the hen, with food and water for her? That way the others are around, but can't step on the chick-

They are in their own little home now. Right next to the roost in the hen house. Nice box, new nest, plenty of food.
