I haven't touched the bator- but how large should the air cell be ? When I posted the thread it looked like 50% of the egg ( maybe 40-45%) does this indicate too low humidity? The egg hasn't been touched since lockdown (Sunday) until today. The lowest my humidity has gotten is 50% (overnight as I slept) it stays about 60-65% otherwise.

Well my intuition told me to intervene and it was right. The chick was severely shrink wrapped by the inner membrane. I tried to wet it and get it to loosen so baby could move- it still couldnt it was stuck :-( I left it alone in a warm damp towel and watched from the window of the incubator every so often. I saw the blood vessels were gone 20 mins ago and no movement... Checked on it- it was gone. After doing an eggtopsy I found it was malpositioned with its head between its legs very deep and into the small end of the egg. If it had been properly positioned it would of pipped today and hatched tomorrow by the size of the yolk (most had receded into the body). I assume my humidity dropped too low at some point :-( hoping the other eggs don't go through this. Hatch date is Sunday/Monday. I think I am done with the cooler bator method....

Oh! And the air sac was horizontal with the egg (on its side) instead of being vertical which I think had to do with the shrink wrapping of the inner membrane.

So sorry!! Just remember that if you open the incubator once and there is a pip, shrink wrap can happen. Just be patient and they will hatch

There was no pip at all :-( I'm thinking I messed up on humidity ... I hadn't opened it before today since locking down Sunday :-(
I'm going to buy an incubator after I return the good one I'm borrowing from a friend. This whole clutch had issues from the start from the cooler bator :-( second hatching next week should go much better in the other incubator!

I've been there too, and know what it's like! I usually have great hatch rates, but with my Seramas I am a complete failure I have four under a Silkie right now, hoping she does better than me. If not I will have to find a new rooster as Dexter may be losing his "touch".
