She nodded, and did so.

Amatis turned back towards the High Guard, pulling her wings close to her body and diving quickly towards the marble steps. At the last second, she unfurled her wings and leveled off to land, her claws clicking on the hard surface. Without a word, she walked quickly through a set of large doors and down a hallway, brightly lit with torches lining the wall on either side.

Gabriel nodded, sounding pleased aswell "Yeah, if your ever looking for Camilla, she's usually around there something." Next he angled his wings slightly to the left, banking over an area of huts, now brightly lit as night settled upon the city "This is where the civilians live and work, they are not warriors, but build a lot of the equipment that we use. Armour and things like that."

They made a lateral tilt and shifted to the left beside Gabriel, the cold, swift breeze rippling the edges of their leathery earfins, and they squinted down at the view of the village, the cool air stinging their lemon-yellow eyes slightly.

The silhouette crept through the undergrowth until it found a tall oak, where it rocketed up into the labyrinth of boughs, shrouded by the leafy cover as he watched curiously from a higher perspective.
Before he knew it, the sweet, peaceful myriad of nighttime sounds lulled him to sleep, all conciousness of where exactly he was ebbing away from his mind. Unbeknownst to him, his elongate, ornately feathered tail dropped from the branch it he'd looped it around, and it dangled limply down, swinging now and then with the breeze.

(Wow, major grammatical error in my post lol)

"Beyond the village, closer towards the edge of the city is the training grounds for the Learners training to become warriors. A lot of their training takes place in the forest, and air of course, but the basics are covered there. The warriors have their huts beside them." He explained, then his jaws parted in a massive yawn "I'll show you to the guest house, you can stay there for tonight and tomorrow we'll get you into a more permanent place."

(Since I kind of vanished last night... Would you mind if I time-jumped a little bit? Just to the morning?)

(Thanks)

Left awoke with the harsh sunlight beaming through the window of the High guard, the light bleeding into his half-lidded eyes. He parted his lips slightly in a repressed yawn before stretching. "Rise and shine," he said as he flicked Right on the head. "Mmmhmmmph." Right mumbled groggily, eyes still squeezed shut, "What do you want?" Left lifted one of Right's eyelids with his fingertip and grinned at him, "It's our first day in the new place!" he said, voice bright and chipper as though he'd been awake for the whole day. "Yeah." Right muttered crossly, rubbing his eyes, "I know. You could've at least waited to tell me that."

Someone knocked on the door outside their room and Amatis's voice called to them "Are you guys up yet?"
