Looks good, I'll add him.

"I haven't heard nothin' of the old man in a long time," uttered little Pandora to Aglaia, her surrogate caretaker while Gilda was occupied with her guard duties. Aglaia furrowed and shook her head, "No no no," she scolded the young dragoness, "We mustn't talk of our ruler in such a heedless manner! He is a figure of high stature that deserves respect." She breathed a heavy sigh and continued dryly, "You make a valid point, child. Our ruler has not spoken to his people in a very long time. That is not like him at all..." Pandora strolled close behind, her head in the air, watching a butterfly drift above her; a rare guest to these arid, barren lands. The manner in which it's vibrant, fluttering wings of golden yellow glimmered in the dying light was mesmerizing. "I wouldn't worry too much, he's always been pretty quiet. he speaks up most when he's got his tail in a knot 'bout sumpthin'." mumbled the little dragon. As Aglaia was about to shoot another reprimanding glare her way, she reconsidered and pondered the child's pessimistic view of her father. With an empathic, caring heart of gold, she offered the little dragoness a hug - to which the child hesitated at first, before gingerly nestling her head into Aglaia's chest as they arrived at the nesting grounds. Aglaia wrapped her in her arms and laid down, curling around Pandora.

Just as the two were about to sleep, the wind around them stirred, plumes of dust swirling into the air. Lapis' looming figure landed nearby with a grave expression on his face. He indicated with a beckoning sway of his neck that he wanted to talk to Aglaia. With a shove away and a stoic, cold face, it was clear to Pandora that she was not to follow, to which she pursed her lip and slumped back into the nest. "Grown-ups," she muttered indignantly under her breath, pouting.

The longer Lapis bit his lip and said not a word, the more worried Aglaia became. The way she hadn't peeled her eyes from him for one second made him realize that he couldn't leave her hanging a second longer. He had to spit it out. "Gaia found Tenebrae dead in the back of his cave." he blurted out awkwardly. He cursed himself silently for not being able to find a smooth way to say it. As loyal tears of worry for the state of the kingdom welled up in Aglaia's eyes - he glanced away. He couldn't look into her bleary eyes. "I-I'm sorry. I-... I thought you deserved to know."
For many days Jester had stayed in his cave, not coming out to eat and only drinking the small drops of water that occasionally dripped from the roof. Over and over the scene played in his mind, clear as though it had happened only yesterday. As he had predicted, Frill soon found out about his new life away from Pelendava as a Caronian warrior. How, he did not know, but that wasn't the point. From there, her betrayal stung him deeply, like a bee with a stinger deep enough to puncture his heart. He could see her face as she vowed to stand beside her friends in Pelendava before him, and his blood ran cold again. Just as it did everytime he thought of it. But the worst was the expression of terror that flashed across her eyes as she realized his intentions to kill her afterwards, and the realization that she was afraid of him. And he had caved. Failed. Chickened out. Whatever you want to call it. And he had let her go.

He exhaled deeply, his breath stirring the musty, old bedding lying on the floor of his den. That brought him to present day. Waiting in his den for something to snap, someone to find him and murder him for his crime. But nobody every did. A week had passed, then another and still nobody came for him. Had Frill not told of their secret? Had she kept her end of the deal afterall? So with great reluctance, he decided that his time of misery and self hatred was over. He needed to move on, Tenebrae needed him, Caronia needed him.

(ta da! That is what happened between them :p)

Artemis came out of his huge den under the mountain, deep gash marks sizzling with acidic poison we're left behind him, he started climbing up the mountain, he just started using his claws to hold on and climb, once several hundred feet up he pushed off and took flight, his wings unfolded, and his huge body was flying, he scanned below on the cold desolate wasteland, searching for prey, or a new toy, his other one had died out long ago, he was out to the hunt.

As she did every day around this time, Christina was just finishing off her own hunt. The day had gone unsually well, it had been sunny and warm, and she had had the day mostly to herself. Since Tenebrae had been around less and less, her workload had lessened as the warriors won't so intent on pleasing their cruel Lord. But on the other hand, his absence could only mean something bad. Come to think of it, everything about him was bad.

Artemis spied a female dragon below him, his massive body dipped slightly, he had found something to interest him, "it is time to show myself now..." he growled, his white glowing eyes closed to slits as he quickly decended on the small female.

As the cold, unforgiving breeze swept over the barren, gray lands of Caronia, there stood a towering figure atop the cliff in which Tenebrae used to reside, his eerie shadow casting down the side of the crumbling mountain. Pebbles tumbled under his weight as he leaned over the cliff's rigid edge, his wings unfurling and outstretching, his impressive wingspan looming high above his head. With a half-hearted leap, he dove from the mountain, gliding lazily along the breeze. The dying light of the sunset played across his smooth, black scales like fireworks in the inky night sky, his tail streaming behind him and bobbing now and then with the weight of their thick, deadly barbs. The wind sifted through his silvery mane, swirling it around gracefully. His calculating yellow eyes - contrasted against a visage of pure ebony - scanned across the arid landscape, seeking trouble but finding nothing out of the ordinary.

He breathed a sigh, heavy with not just the sadness of the loss of a great leader, but with boredom. His duty as a guard was a lowly one. He was nameless among dragons; just another face like all the rest. He wanted more... so much more.

Little did he know, more was exactly what he was going to get.

He had almost reached her, than an odd thing happened, something else caught his eye, another dragon, quite large, "This should be interesting." then he let out a roar, it echoed off of mountains and came back at him from all dircections. "Interesting indeed!"

Christina looked up in surprise, spotting Artemis right away as he stood out against the bleak grey sky. She dove for cover among the trees and latched her claws firmly into the bark. New dragons were always trouble, and she wanted nothing to do with them.

The black dragon uttered a low hiss under his breath, and he grimaced for a moment as the brash roar rang through the air. He stopped the slow, rythmic flapping of his wings to ease into a slower flight, allowing him to listen more easily. He didn't recognize that voice...
