The Fortunate Unfortunates!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY WOULD ANYONE DO THIS?????? especially to a Sebrite of all breeds! like they could really ever pick anyone! yea, that is totally rediculous. I am glad you helped her out.

This was Gracie (by the grace of God she will survive). She didnt survive. I picked her up too late. She made it 24 hours in my care.

Thank you so much for rescuing those poor birds guys..... nothing deserves to be treated like that.... Maggie and midge look just like my girls, Cinderella and Arwen... I lurve amber stars, such a nice personality. Are they always getting into trouble? Arwen eats literally ANYTHING she can find... even emu poop

Wilbur The Magpie

I found him, when he was just a fledgling, stuck in a 'Larson trap' in a farmer's field. He had been left there for days, without food and water, on the ground (the most terrifying place to be for a bird), and there was fox scent all around the trap. He must have been terrified, but he was so weak from hunger he only rasped when I lifted him limply from that abominable device.

After a few weeks of feeding up and treating injuries, he was ready for release, so I held out my arm, lifted him onto it and attempted to launch him off. He flew two feet... then turned in mid-air and landed on my head. Since then he has been almost everywhere with me.

Here he is this morning:

And out in the garden, posing for the camera:

TehLizardKing, I love your animals! They are so wonderful and happy in your care! :)

Here are a few of mine today. :love

Biddy-bird turned a year old today, can you believe it! Didn't think she would survive to see two days old, and yet here she is!

Little Scooter, AKA cuter Scooter, who has recently earned the nickname cuter Scooter brooder. I think she's done brooding for the moment, but who knows?

And the little guy, Po, protecting the other chicks from the mean, scary watermelon slice I gave them today.

Thanks Pip'd! I do love my animals, but it looks like you love yours just as much! I'd love to own some sebrights, and scooter is just so cute! I've got a broody Cream Crested Legbar at the moment, and it's amazing just to watch their devotion to their task isn't it!

Band-Aid:

A Red-Legged Partridge chick rescued from down a rabbit hole, and now he's in with my other peeps at the moment. He'd fallen down and slipped, and gotten splay leg in the process.

Here is the little cutie:

Well, it's been a while since anyone posted here, but I thought I would update on Po since he took such a cute picture yesterday. :)
