It has feathered legs! Now if I can only get feathered legs and bearded!View attachment 2503827
Hawks are brazen. They have no fear of humans at all. Im so glad everyone is safe!2 wild things happen today!
First thing... 5am I am letting dogs out to go potty. I hear my chicks frantically peeping from clean across the yard. So I go get my flashlight and go check them. One paint chick was stuck between the cage and nest box. So back in with mom it goes.
Around noon today I went out to toss some kitchen scraps to my layer flock. Then stop and see the silkie group. As I'm standing with mom and babies I hear the God forsaken rooster screech and a big slam to my fence. That damn hawk tried to snag my silkie standing 10ft from me. And clipped my silkies run fencing! Thank God. Or I'd be down a silkie.
Oh then I clearly broke my toe on my kids trampoline today too... what a day I've had!
I know, thats the second time this month he has chanced it, with me right there.Hawks are brazen. They have no fear of humansatall. I. So glad everyone is safe!
