Rummies in my mint garden!

This was Rori last year with her 2 random chicks. The light colored one is Brazzy, the hen my friend took. The dark grey one is her brother, somehow they got locked out around 8 weeks old, and Brazzy was the only one to make it through the night.

Actually I've never seen them eat it, they do pick the seeds off my catnip. But mainly they just dig it up and dust bath under there!

My chickens like mint. They didn't eat it at first, but then one of them must have tried some and liked it, because now they all eat it.

Some days I really miss my Blue bird, today is one of them days!

So yesterday, me and the kids was out feeding chickens. I happen to see Falkor run down and do the deed to Rori. Well she didnt move afterwards, I thought he killed her. So I went down as she strangely squatted there, was watching to see if she was moving. Like 20 seconds go by she still same state. So I go down, and she was in a perma-squat... Apparently Falkor missed his mark, so I gave her a rub on the back she fluffed her feathers and went on her way!
