Pigpen is such a strange bird! I can't wait to hatch eggs from her in the spring!

My Dirtybird. They are clearly not California Whites pretty cool though!

He got scaley leg mites, so since I can't tackle him for a spa day. I got pour on ivermectin and vaseline. I'll probably treat my entire flock, silkies too.
Gosh I just love his beard, and his hackles get so full in the winter.

Look at that evil glare.... It's like an eagle staring down his prey before he attacks. 👁 Nessy has taken "queen" status, she has bumped Ruby off her high horse!

Rori, is one of my originals. After me and my family settled into the house we are in, I had a empty shed that stored my garden tools. Then my friend who has chickens, brought me Rori, Ruby, and Roodi in 2018. 3 young pullets, that restarted chicken keeping. Rori has brooded chicks every year for me. I just love her. She is a great mother, and such a ham.

Falkor has the same look as my Jabberwocky did. He was beautiful but nasty. We did not get along.

I just love bathing chickens, dust or sun. Was that evening or morning? The low angle of the sun makes the pictures even better.

Dirtybird and Pigpen, and 2 other I gave my friend! All was bought as "California white" pullets, from tractor supply. They are all pullets indeed. But aren't CWs supposed to be white with black spots? So I'm assuming they was mixed with something else for all the lovely red to come through. Pigpen has red, browns and blues. I think we should have some lovely chicks from Falkor and them.
