The Fricken Chicken story!

Proud of this little bugger too! Pretty sure she is proud of herself! She is still so small, she can squeeze through my fence.

Melvin*Mazoo*Kazoo*Mr what ever I call him that day, is a handsome man. 😍 He is a tolerable young cockerel. Aside him trying to shuffle me around. I would like to keep him. But that makes me have to give up a Falkor. I don't really want to do that. So eventually before spring. He will have to move out. I will more than likely send his sister Misty and his hatch mate Barb with him. So I have room for the deathlayer. Don't forget I have 9 deathlayer in my basement still 😆....I've been really sick, so I haven't been able to get pictures of the "toddler" group recently!

This young man is taking his rooster duties seriously today. I was out with them in the yard and a hawk flew over us. Everyone ran for cover, because the roosters all sounded the alarm. Well I seen the hawk land in the tree line. So I walk towards it to spook it away. Melvin must think, I'm one of his flock, because he through a fit. Squawking... attempting to shuffle me to safety. 🤣😂 my dear I love you. But you do not need to protect me. Then later today. God forbid I am in the silkie pen. He paced the fence clucking. Until I come out... then stood at my feet staring at me like I did him wrong. Again... I love ya.. but I'm not your lady friend. 🤦‍♀️

Got my deathlayers moved outside! This is temporary, until I can move the dog box run out of the silkie pen. I've been so sick, it's been hard to get anything done... This, and doing my feed and water for the other flocks took every last bit of energy I had, to get it done today. But it's done! Thank god!

To make them stop I gently picked Mazoo up, and carried him to the coop. Then he decided my lap was a good place to rest for 20 minutes for snuggles. I wish I had my phone in hand for that. He was literally sprawled out enjoying every scratch and pet I had to offer.
