My Coop
My Coop
Hi folks,
I wanted to share some photos of my coop and run. It was a lot of work and a lot of fun to build. In the middle of the process we also welcomed our first child into our family so the whole thing took about three months to complete.

You can see some more photos in my album here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/g/a/6782413/the-frickin-chicken-coop/

Very nicely done. If you have any problems with water infiltrating the nest box area, try putting a strip of rubber over the crack and hinges where it meets the outside wall. Attach it to the wall so that you still can open and shut it.

Thank you, that is a great suggestion. So far it hasn't been a problem, but they also won't be laying until later this fall so we'll see if it becomes necessary.

Wow!
I love it... I am currently building my own 1st coop and it is this same design!!
A few minor differences but overall very similar.
I spotted your post on pinterest then jumped over to BYC to look you up.
I hope you're still active here...
I have a couple questions that you could answer.
Are you happy with the amount of space under the coop? Would you rather have it higher, lower, say the same? I am trying to decide how high to put the floor off the ground.
And as for the nesting boxes.
Do you like the height of those?
I am also trying to decide how high to put them off the floor/ ground...
