The frizzle gene

I am guessing our Cuckoo Maran has the frizzle Gene. I had never heard of it before. I think I saw it is a dominant gene? Is it a part of any breeds breed standard? Is it desired or does it have a bad rap? I’m curious about it! :)

It does not look like your chicken has the Frizzle Gene just some ruffled feathers. The Frizzle Gene is dominant it is a breed standard in parts of Europe but not in the United States. Frizzle chickens are desired by most people who keep chickens as pets because of their wacky feathers. I'm sorry I don't have a Frizzle chicken to show you a picture of, but if you search Frizzle Chicken in to Google it will pull up pictures.
 
Agree that it doesn't have the frizzled gene.
