The funniest thing

We have 6 chickens (hens) and we call them our girls

, we have had them since they were 2 days old and we visit them every day. Well they have attached themselves to my husband, they follow him every where. He speaks and they perk up, he lets them out of the coop and they stick to him like glue. He tells them to go back in and they do. They recognize him as Papa. So I had to take care of them for a few days while he was out of town, I tried to do what he did and they ignored me. I ended up chasing them all over the property to get them back in the coop. So I realized he is their rooster and I am chopped liver. LOL... Go figure!

Agree with Sue T. I think she who has the best treats gets to be MAMA. I bet your hubby has been slipping them stuff behind your back. Chickens are capable of love on their level but, mostly it's a love of food.
