my Dad is the ultimate techie. So much so, that he is famous in techie circles as the guy who put internet on school buses down in arizona. I get some of that techno geekness from him. My very very very good friend, Gabe, is sort of a geek. hes a bookworm, hes smart, he likes old fashioned piano music... he rocks.

My professional life is overrun with "geeks". What I find interesting is that some forms of geek are more socially acceptable than others. For example, somebody that knows everything about a popular televisions show is not considered a geek, but somebody that knows how to set the clock on the microwave is considered a geek and suspected of being a nerd as well.
