Yes, exactly! When we have snow storms everybody hangs out inside and then they end up sitting in the nest boxes and pooping on the eggs in there that I haven't gotten a chance to collect yet . . . at least that's what happens with me.

That reminds me of something that happened a month or two ago . . . It started snowing really hard so then the chickens got scared of the snow and hid under the deck.

It was really funny! The rest of it was not so funny for me. I spent at least a half hour trying to get them all out, and then I had gotten eight of them back in the coop but one (my crazy EE) was still freaking out under the deck.

I had to go in there and try to shoo her out with a 10-foot-long apple picker, luring her out with pieces of apple muffin. This didn't work

(by the way, at this point I've probably been out here for 45 min) so then I had to get down on my hands and knees and crawl under the deck with apple muffin. At the point that I had been out for 50 mins I eventually caught her and had to carry her back to the coop because she was so scared. A half hour after I got her back in the coop, all her tail feathers fell out.
