WORST IDEA EVER

I ordered eggs from a lady that had all her purebreds housed together for winter, the chicks are mutts but come from gorgeous parents. For me the purity of the breed doesnt mean a thing as long as my hen is happy and healthy. I ordered the eggs from that lady because I knew the babies are bound to be pretty crazy looking and will fit nicely into our family. So far my oldest is holding up to my hopes, she kinda looks like she may have a little polish in her because of her crazy 4 little feathers on her head
This will be my first garden in my new house so Im excited but nervous at the same time. We are starting from complete scratch and Im looking forward to all the work ahead of us. We're fencing off an area, then digging up the ground and adding new garden soil to get the ground ready for planting. I like learning things the hard way so that later on I can take the easy route if I want and will feel I earned it. Hopefully this weekend I get my seeds started in the house so that if we ever get nice weather I will have nice healthy starts to put out to mature.
