I was noticing last night that a few of my female coturnix in a pen with six females/2 males had little bloody spots just on the top of their beaks. It did not look like anything to be concerned about but I just thought I would ask if that was normal. They are about seven weeks old and so far only one of these girls is laying.

That's probably from fighting, the males are most likely fighting over the 1 girl; they won't breed the other ones until they (the girls) are ready. You only need 1 male for 6 hens if they are all in one cage, or you can seperate them into 2 different cages with 1 male and 3 females each.
