I've been growing wheat grass in pots for my cats over this long winter. I let one pot get overgrown, gave it a trim and put a big pile of snipped grass in a bowl for the girls, along with some hulled sunflower seeds. I know, they're spoiled! We're in the middle of another snowy day and the wind is blowing so much that the girls didn't even want to be out in the pen today. So, I though they'd like something fresh and green. It smelled wonderful! They ate like fluffy little pigs!

I see you have a parrot, too. I feed a lot of different types of food to my African grey, Kirby, including some pellets. That way, he always has something to nibble on, between his other meals. He usually eats Harrison's high potency and loves it. I got a small bag Foundation Formula, because it has a lot of whole foods in it and I thought he could eat a little of that, too. No Way!!!

I've been trying for a couple of months and finally decided to offer it to the chickens. They love that stuff!!! They have definitely been getting a different selection of treat foods this week.
