The girls hated the oatmeal so what other foods for cold days?

My girls LOVE the oatmeal but I serve it almost room temp. I also grow lentil sprouts that they are addicted to.

I've never had our eggs taste like garlic from giving the girls garlic in their oatmeal. For my whole batch, enough for our 24 chickens, I only put 1 to 2 cloves of garlic. No garlic tasting eggs yet!

I found they go crazy over Spaghetti noodles maybe they thank it's worms. they like them as a treat the kids feed them and have a blast. I'm not sure if there good for them but i figure a treat now and then .

Wow... I thought mine were spoiled! I never make warm stuff for them. They are plenty happy with their meal worms and seed & fruit mix (year around) and watermelon in the Summer.

I do BOSS sprouts for mine. I just do sprout them in a big jar on my kitchen counter. I mix it with their scratch grains in the mornings, along with any leftovers from the day before. The sprouts are really good for them, and BOSS is high in protein.

Black Oil Sunflower Seeds (in the shell). Took me a while to figure out what it was. There are so many abriviations used in this group.....as a newbie, it can be hard to figure out what they are. I still have no idea what it means when someone says DH. Maybe someday I'll figure it out!
