I live in Coachella CA and I have raised two beautiful Silkie hens and two Bantam Cochin hens since they were hatchlings. My HOA has just served me a notice that I have less than a week to remove my coop from our property or we will receive further citations and fines. Our girls are part of our family and we are all devastated. We don’t have enough time to find a new place to live (I WILL move my family somewhere we can keep our chickens!!) and I am struggling to find a solution. If anyone can help house my chickens temporarily I would of course offer compensation and whatever else was necessary. If this isn’t a possibility, I absolutely need to see them go to a good home where they will be loved and treated affectionately. They know their names (Blanche, Rose, Dorothy, and Sophia) and all love to be petted and held. They are roughly 8 months old, and three of the four have begun laying. Any input is welcome… Thank you!
