I have 2 hibiscus plants (red and pink) in containers and a Rose of Sharon (purple) in ground. I bring the containers inside for the winter. I haven't tried to dry any flowers yet for tea but I do give fresh flowers to our rescue buns (Hazel) all the time. He loves them.

She's serious. I carry a small compressor in my truck if I ever need it. But himself has been in town loosing air in a tire and the station machine was broken. Next station didnt have one. He ended up limping it home. Lugs were on too tight to change it.

My red hibiscus hedge grows like wildfire.The flowers will be plentiful over spring, summer and autumn.

I also tidied up all the dead cherry tomato bushes and picked up dog doings.

it's money they want. they will start charging oxygen soon. sure they don't care about any safety. licenses and permits cost.

I'm old enough to remember how ludicrous the idea of buying drinking water was! And they already charge us for oxygen, but you can't get it without a doctor's prescription! Ludicrous also!

Here in California if you need air, at most stations you have to buy something. It's just best to have a air pump with you at all times.

I don't bother drying them. I collect 3 or 4 flowers, pop them in a glass, pour on boiling water and let cool. Remove flowers and drink. You can add lemon balm or catnip etc, even flat leaf parsley to make it a real party

Watered the orchard, picked peppers, picked tomatillos and pulled plants as I picked. I have three trays of hot peppers to go in the freeze dryer and three trays of tomatillos. I will start those in the morning. I cleared out half a bed of tomatillos.

I pulled so many weeds in the orchard that I have blisters on my fingers. Owwie..... I didn't think I needed gloves.

Getting ready for garlic and flower bulb planting season!!

I think we're going to get a nicer truck. Going to say goodbye to my 03 4runner if I like the truck we get. I love my 4Runner.... But it needs work I don't have time to fix myself. He has 265000 miles on him. Sigh, suspension is in need of actual work.

Didn't do anything in the garden yesterday. Got outside early, went up on the roof and scrubbed the solar panels. 20% production increase! I knew they were dirty, but I didn't think they were that dirty.

We went up to Monterey to go buy a truck. Dealer had it listed online at the price we wanted to pay.... Got up there and they wanted to sell it with a 9000$ markup in service contacts. We wanted to pay 42k otd, for a 39k truck. They tried to sell it to us for 51K.... We tried to negotiate and give them their service warranty, (that cost them ~1800$)... Plus 1500$.... So, otd for 46K. They came back with 48K... So we had to walk away. Sales guy said he's going to keep our offer in front of his manager and that come the end of the month, he may be delivering the vehicle to us personally. I'm going to call on Wednesday, if they still won't sell, we'll buy a nicer truck otd elsewhere for the same price they offered or the exact same trim, same mileage, for the price we want to pay. Just without seeing it in person first.

I guess all sales went down. offer them 40k, take it or leave it. dealers should learn times have changed.
