Wal Mart only had HUGE night crawlers and I just didn't wanna cut them up
so I tossed them to the adult chickens. I don't normally buy bugs for them. For them, I normally turn over a log and let them clean out the termite nests and such. They have discovered following me around they don't have to dig and move as much stuff cuse I'll move the heavy stuff for them.
I can't catch bugs on the property without about a dozen other adult birds all over my stash before I can bottle them and get them to the babies! LOL
I promise, the babies are getting grit. Tiny baby grit.
Now the challenge will be to finish the other 2 brooder lids. They are flying faster and more of them are doing it than my first batch of babies! I've had 2 of them rehomed in Attica (The brooder with the lid already on) today for making jail breaks! It is nice that they come to me and not flee though.
I need to work with my Bantams more though.
