This weekend on Chicken TV was the Great Bug Hunt. We let the girls (all ten) out of the coop and run for the first time and baby-sat them while they checked out the yard.
If I knew chickens were this much fun, I would have had them years ago! It was a learning experience for all of us. I learned a lot about chicken behavior. The chickens learned:
1. Crickets are tasty.
2. Big Crickets are really tasty.
3. Other chickens will chase you if you have a big cricket.
4. Small crickets are hard to catch.
5. Weeds are tasty, too.
6. Mom doesn't want us to go under the deck.
7. No, really, don't go under the deck.
8. When it's time to go back in, that means everybody. Yep, even you, Lilly. Lilly? Get out from under the deck!!
