I had separated my 4 young pullets from my 2 older hens for about 9 days, both in the coop and garden/run. Great suggestion from folks here. Well, I took down the separation walls and let the chicks out int the main garden, with the 2 big girls. I stood by, then sat, and waited. Nothing happened. Zero, zip, nada. All day. No attacks from the big girls, they actually mostly avoided them! Next day I took down the stuff in the coop. I guess my plan of having them share the garden, then the coop, but separated, worked! It's been over 6 days and everybody's fine!!!
