All sounds like a giant gamble.

In some ways that is why it can be so addictive.

I suppose... it is why I dont post reviews on eggs (eBay) based on shipment. I wait for development. 2 people on here made it clear to wait until hatch. Both hatched chicks different than they ordered.

Thought I should get back in here after a few more shipments. One flaw I have seen with some shipments is when they are shipped with eggs side-lying. I always have more ruptured air cells.

For awhile, I have thought that there was only one good/acceptable way to pack eggs. That is the box-in-box. However, I just received a shipment of 30 eggs that seemed to protect the eggs just as effectively. So I thought it was worth sharing with you all.

This breeder put packing peanuts in the bottom of the box (use whatever to cushion & fill space), then bubble wrap. She then used a cardboard egg crate for 30 eggs. Of course, she wrapped each egg in bubble wrap. The top of the cardboard egg crate, packing peanuts & bubble wrap. It held the eggs perfectly.

Just ordered up a shipment of eggs. I asked the packer to put "Fragile - Hatching Eggs" on the box and she stated she puts "Fragile - Honey" because the last thing the USPS wants is a sticky mess. Brilliant!
