The Great Tolbunt Polish Hatch!! - Babies!!!

I have always turned by hand, the past 2 hatches I had a turner and ended up with a total of 3 chicks pipping the wrong end. And talk about germs and getting moved around-I'm sure it's worse under a hen than handling the eggs twice a day. And hens do get off the eggs to eat and so on, so I don't worry much about candling or handling the eggs with clean hands. But who knows?

Anyway, someone is now real lucky with Tolbunts! Oh, I can just dream............

OMG! Has it really been three weeks?? What a great picture of the one laid back in the egg carton. Keep the pics coming over the next few days (weeks?)

Still no action on the last two.

I am SO tempted to candle them, or open them, or just make a little pip hole, or. . . .

Usually if an egg takes this long to even pip for me, . . . . It's gone by the time I take it out.

I would candle!!

I turn on the shower in a close bathroom and get it all humid in there and then grab the egg and get it in there. Then I feel like I can do what I need to without drying out the membrane.
