The Gun Thread

How about when they always refer to a suppressor as a silencer?
Well, Percy Maxim referred to it as a silencer in all his marketing as well as his patent documents. So I use the two terms interchangeably. If it was good enough for the guy who invented it, its good enough for me.

well hello everybody, im surprised to see something like this on here...
anyway, i hunt (turkey season right now) but i mostly enjoy just shooting, im a minor still so technically i cant own any guns but here are some of my favorites:

handgun: Sig Sauer micro p365, its very modified though.(yes im a sig fan)
semi long-range rifle: Q mini-fix (chambered in 5.56)
SBR: mcx-spear LT (chambered in 300 blk-out)
Revolver: i have an old colt python, its not really practical but its fun.
shot gun: keltech ksg410 (410 is fine for turkeys, and its really light and short.)

i have some interesting other guns but we shall save those for another day...

What's the barrel length on your MCX-Speart LT?

I've got a self-assembled variation of the "Dirt Squirrel", which is "we have Q's Honey Badger at home" with an 8.5in barrel in .300Blk.

Probaby better off with that than a Honey Badger, regardless of price. Then you're not locked into using Q's overpriced, proprietary parts

Absolutely.
I shoot "suppressed", "silenced" or with a "can".
I also pull the trigger with my "fingers", "digits" or "phalanges".
Same thing, different terms. :highfive:

Yeah, I've heard it can be quite the headache. Does seem a bit counter-intuitive to pay $2K+ just to lock yourself into a non-standard platform.

Absolutely. I got the chance to play around with a few Q rifles at a night vision match I went to, and they were nice. But realistically, was the HB better than any other properly gassed SBR with a Geissele trigger in it? Definititely not. I think Kevin Brittingham is a snake oil salesman
