The Gun Thread

Anyone know good companies who make owb holsters that won't scuff my Kimber micro 9 but with a paddle not a belt attachment? I'm to the point im gonna go buy a thigh holster and go Laura Croft on this B in a min 🙄

Any holster that you're practicing as much as you should be with will eventually scuff up your guns. But Alien Gear makes a paddle mount for their holsters and they make holsters for about every gun. Pretty good quality for the price

I have read that kydex will scuff faster, but will wear smaller areas, and leather will take longer but will wear larger areas.

Just reorient your thoughts to view scuffs as meaning you have trained well and you, and those around you, are safer for it.

That makes sense. Kydex holsters normally only make contact on a small part of a guns surface, usually the trigger guard, but some like the MFT Minimalist make contact along the slide as well.

Leather tends to cause excessive wear on the slide, as there is more freedom of movement for the gun, even with retention straps.
