Oh but wouldn't the West Aussie Govt love this thread.
They are trying to completely disarm us.
So naturally they can't figure out why there are more wild boar killing lambs.
Or foxes killing the native lizards and turtles.
I remember back in the 90's the pictures of all the firearms confiscated, and cut up, broke my heart to hear about old family heirlooms. I thought you had been disarmed since then.

Good Lord! I have to stay off this gun thread. Just ordered it.

:lau Purdy gun!

Never owned a lever gun but it's on my short list. 44mag or 45-70 for me prolly. Torn between a classic like yours or the ones with aluminum stocks and threaded for a suppressor.

Nice! 22's are a blast to shoot and the ammo is relatively cheap, which is a plus...
.22 Rifle is definitely my favorite thing to shoot.
For 4-H .22 there rapid fire and slow fire and silhouettes.
For slow fire you get 10 minutes to shoot 10 shots.
For rapid fire you have to stand up and load 5 rounds and when they say fire you have 25 seconds to drop into position and get off all 5 shots.
For silhouettes you are shooting at the silhouette of a chicken, hog, turkey & ram.
The ram is 45 yards away. The turkey is 30 yards away. The hog is 20 yards away and the chicken is 10 yards away.

That sounds like fun. I shot Conventional Pistol for years, a match would consist of Slow, Timed, and Rapid fire. All was shot one hand standing. Slow was ten rounds in ten minutes, Timed was five rounds in ten seconds and Rapid was five rounds in five seconds. Of course, there was more to it than that, but that was the time of firing. The course was fired in rimfire, and centerfire, with a total possible score of 2700 or 900 for just rimfire.

That kind of sounds like air pistol. Where you have rapid and slow fire. Slow fire you get 25 minutes for 2 shots and for rapid fire you load your pistol and when they say fire you have 3 seconds to bring the gun up and fire.
