The Gun Thread

32ACP is a fun cartridge. I ended up getting a mold and casting 88gr projos for a CZ VZ61 Skorpion.

10mm can be a handful for sure. Lotta horsepower there and often a snappy recoil.

Looks like I found another hangout!

I tend to design and machine things. This one is a prototype I'm working on and machined in my garage.

That's sick. What does that angle piece with the hole behind the disconnector do?

That is the link for the trigger bar. That piece is basically U shaped and the disconnector sits on it. It's very similar to the FCG sound on the PPS-43C. This will be going in a semi auto, closed bolt PM-63.

It's tiny.

Aha, much easier to see that outside of the housing. I had been eyeballing a PM63 parts kit hard when Atlantic got them in. But I just have no interest in having to stock 9x18 ammo. Super cool gun, you'll have to update on how the semi trigger conversion works.

What kind of machines do you have? I'm currently saving up for a pro-sumer grade CNC mill and hopefully a lathe and surface grinder not too long after that. Really looking forward to some more interesting home builds than CETMEs and 3d printed guns.

I snagged a 380 barrel for the PM-63. I'm decently active on Weapons Guild and have a couple how to/drawing packages there. The batch of chickens and supercharging my pickup has really eaten into my PM-63 time. I made a jig, rewelded it, got the FCG machined and that's basically where I'm at. I need to make a new cassette before I can think about dropping in the FCG. I also need to get a firing pin figured out but need the FCG in place to figure out where the hammer will be.

Reweld jig:

I have a humble little shop. Little YesWelder 205ds, a harbor freight horizontal band saw, harbor freight 20T press, harbor freight grinder with buffing wheel, a 1980 build Bridgeport Series 1 HD tracer mill and a 1947 Hardinge HLV Super Precision Tool Room lathe. I had to figure out the electrical on the HLV. It's a 400v 3ph British machine. Motor is now 230v 3ph but the controls are 200v 1ph so I stepped up 110 for it. Had to replace the old selenium rectifiers with diode rectifiers since they had long ago released the magic smoke.

1.375x24 to M18 x 24TPI HUB adapter for suppressing a DPM. Straight off the machine.

I'd love to play with some printed designs. My state is one of the insane ones banning everything so legally no printed toys. I have not done a G3/Cetme yet. Not really an HK fan. I love Comblock stuff because it tends to be weird and slightly insane. I'm almost always the one guy at a 2/3gun match with an AK instead of an AR. I even have one set up for night matches!

That's pretty great for a personal shop. Are you running the lathe off a VFD or do you have 3ph?

Man sounds like we have a lot of similar interests. Here's an endcap for my first form 1 centerfire can. The female thread is 1.375"-24 for a purchased trilug adapter and I believe the male thread was 2.5"-12, but its been a while. That was a goofy design, way too big and heavy. I actually filed a new form 1 to replace that can this weekend. The entire thing was painstakingly made on a tabletop CNC router, including threadmilling. What a headache.

Unfortunately I moved to where I don't have access to that router anymore and afaik there's no local night matches. But when I lived out East this was my rifle setup for Moons Out Goons Out 2024. I shot in passive division and used the piggybacked dot for the whole match. Also a pain in the butt, but really fun.
