I was looking at the Sumatra and I think she is a girl...maybe...I hope so. But her comb is pretty small and in the Sumatra breed section I saw a rooster younger than her and his tail was longer. She doesn't seem to have meaty feet like the speckled sussex and all her feathers match the other pullets. I also read somewhere that male chickens back feathers take longer to come in then females. And Chenoa's back feathers are the same as the other pullets. But the speckled sussex's are coming in later. yay! Then I would have 2 roosters to 13 hens. So if I ordered 7 pullets next year I think I'd be good to go.
I would never do that to a chicken but we got them anyways..and they get around fine
