The hens have worms!

I am fairly new to chickens, I have only had them for about a year and a half. I noticed worms in their poo yesterday and have had no luck finding any definitive answers. Any advice would be helpful! They were little white round worms in their poo.

I recommend that you purchase Valbazen 500ml bottle liquid cattle/sheep wormer. Administer it to each chicken using a syringe without a needle. Dosage is 1/2cc given orally undiluted to each chicken. Repeat dosing them again in 10 days. There's a 24 day withdrawal period from start to finish. Toss the eggs in the garbage or give them to your dogs.

Should I worm my cats and dog? Could they get worms from interacting with the chickens? Especially the dog- she eats chicken poo

I also have 4 ducklings that are a week old but they live inside at the moment. Should I be treating them with anything?

How long should I toss the eggs after treatment?

Cayenne pepper =)) Make the feed RED with it, and it should kill the worms. If that doesn't work then use valbezen. With cayenne pepper, you don't need to throw out the eggs, though they may taste a little funny, with medicine, it's two weeks. I would worm the dogs and cats. If your chickens got worms, there's a good chance your dogs can get worms. The animals inside should be fine. Hope this helps!

Dogs and cats cannot get chicken worms and visa versa. The week old ducklings are too young to have worms, no need to treat them.
