The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Maya watched with wide eyes. "Thanks!" She yelped. When a dagger was offered to her, she took it and nodded, then turned to slash it at another wolf's face. The wolf was about to snap at her, but Charlie appeared behind it and thrust the discarded stick at its legs. The wolf bared its teeth at him and he became visible again, the fear that made his heart speed up also made him unable to concentrate. He took a step back, staring into the wolf's orange eyes. It seemed about two seconds from eating him. Then, it raised its muzzle and pricked its ears. The wolf gazed at Charlie for a second, as if deciding whether it was worth it to kill him, then turned and galloped into the woods after its retreating brethren.
Hana nodded and turned her attention away from them. Once the carnage was over, she sat down by one of the many dead wolves. She took her katana and wiped its blade on the pelt, getting rid of the blood that still lingered on it. Then she carefully inspected the tamahagane for any cracks, her reflection visible in the shiny metal. When she finished, she sheathed it back in its holder and got back on her feet.
"No, no, no. I need to make sure...I need to make sure everyone's okay." Blair shook her hands free of his, planting her feet firmly to stop herself if she struggled to stand. Her wiped blood away from her eyes, both her own and the odd, red-gray wolf blood. She looked up at him briefly, searching for any large or concerning wounds on him, but found none.
She turned, her gaze flickering frantically over the group. The stench of blood was suffocating, and she realized why when she saw how many wolves had been killed and how much blood had soaked the ground. She needed to get to the rest of the group. Take was her first priority, but he was fine, scratched up, but alive. Next came the group, and then herself.
So, curling her left arm around her wounded right rib, feeling the blood drip from the wound on her shoulder, she glanced back at Take. "Come on," she murmured, and continued toward the group, albeit her steps became less and less steady.

Take followed closely by her side, his eyes searching for the Russian speaking man, and when he caught sight of him, he called out. “Hey you! You can heal right? Can you heal my girlfriend here?” He gave Blair a glance, seeing her unsteady steps, “Hang onto me” he said sharply, “You’re gonna end up eating it.”

Kevin glanced at Take and nodded. He looked Blair up and down, noting her many wounds. “Where’s the worst one?” He asked, lightly touching her shoulder and sending the magic pulses through her.

Nat trembled as her hand was nuzzled by a cougar. "Okay, I officially have zero regret for going through that portal," she whispered in hoarse awe.
Beaming and entirely more composed than his astonished best friend, Colby carefully extended his own hand so that it hovered patiently beside Nat's. "That's so awesome. How'd you end up with a friend like him?" He knew a whole lot of licensing had to be involved to make this even remotely legal, but he wasn't going to come right out and start interrogating. For positive starters, Buck definitely looked content and in good condition, as far as he could tell.
Buck licked Colby's hand when he put it out for him then proceeded to nuzzle it as well.

"I work at a zoo." He stated simply. "I was assigned to look after the big cats, but me and Buck just always seemed to understand each other better than the others. I decided I wanted him to be mine, so after 2-3 years, I bought him from the zoo." He gazed fondly at the big cat when he had finished.
“Why don’t you keep it off all the time then?” Cam asked curiously, peering at the the silvery wolf glinting against his tanned skin. In the space of that question, her Mexican friend had disappeared. Mysterious.
"Oh... So, if I take it off, yeah, I can hear all of the nearby animals, but there's also a lot of animals nearby because that includes insects, birds... Pretty much from the smallest ant to the biggest predator in the area floods my mind and it's not exactly pleasant."

(Oops, I didn't read about the wolf attack yet...)

Buck turned away from them and started growling into the darkness at some unseen threat. Carson followed his gaze and drew out his dagger, knowing that not many things made Buck growl. Suddenly, a wolf was on top of him but the weight soon was flung off of him by Buck. Buck had it pinned beneath him and he was clawing mercilessly at the dog's throat and it soon was dead. While Buck was finishing off that one, Carson was battling with another. He plunged the dagger deep into its side, but it was relentless. Jaws soon clamped around his leg. He grimaced and struggled not to lose conscience as the sharp teeth dug deeper and deeper into his skin. With a final effort, he stabbed the dagger into its eye and the pressure released itself as the animal fled with a howl of pain. Buck rushed over to him and stood protectively by him, growling at any wolf who dared get close to him. When the battle was over, Carson wrapped his arms around Buck to help himself stand up and looked around at the damaged scene. Leaning on Buck, he made his way over to a jutting root to sit down and wait for a healer. "Thank you, Buck. Without you, I would probably be much worse right now." He told the cat gratefully before having him lie down so he could check over the animal for wounds that might be serious
