The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

"You're welcome, Buttercup." Lilith bent over laughing again, smiling widely. "Oh, but doesn't everyone? We are such fine creatures. Amazing specimens of society, American patriots. We fight for our right to communism, we are thriving in our minds. We are all probably homeless, but we have found a home in each other's hearts. In other words, he better or I'll steal his livelihood." She snorted, straightening up and clearing her throat. "That is all for now, thanks for coming for my public speech."
"Kylan! Put me down, Aunt Lili's gonna get'cha! We're stronger together! Join our cause, like Uncle Kevin!"
Instead of saving Torin, Lilith took Kevin's hand and practically skipped over to Kylan, grabbing his forearm when he grabbed Noah's shoulder. "Everyone hang onto each other!"
Aria took Kylans other hand “Wait. Where are Aella and Ciro?”

“So what’s with you and-“ Fred lowered his voice “Cam? Am I imagining things or are there some sparks there?”
Kipp stared at him, his heart instantly jumping into his throat as his face heated up. He snapped his mouth shut before anything stupid could find it's way out. His eye's getting wider as he tried to think up some way to get himself out of this conversation.

"C-com-unism?" He squeaked giving Fred a grimacing terrified grin. All too aware of Cam's hand in his as he forced himself not to squeeze it.

Moved by a sudden impulse, Rylie ran towards the shifting portal.
“Rylie?” Kyle asked.
“Mrow?” He asked, sticking his head through the shifting vortex. His distorted face could be seen on the other side.
“Goodbye!” Kyle called.
(@HeavensHens88 here’s your chance.)
A horrible sob rose in Nat's throat when a furry head suddenly poked through the friendly neighborhood vortex and she dove toward it with a clanking leap. "Oh, Rylie, I'm so sorry," she murmured, pressing her forehead to his in the possessive affection of the feline. "I didn't mean to go without saying goodbye. And yet you came anyway. You wonderful, wonderful cat." Hot, messy tears were already sliding down her cheeks, entirely unpermitted and equally unstoppable. She'd been so preoccupied with...well, since it was all IMPOSSIBLY BEHIND HER now, completely IRRELEVANT things that she'd never really let herself grasp who was being left behind.
Ever felt like a heel?
Well, you'd best rethink that right now, because Natalie Freeman has discovered an all-new low that is entirely unreachable for the general public who've maintained even a drachm of decency within themselves.

Kyle gripped Ciro’s rough, tan index finger in his soft white hand and shook it. “Many returns,” he said. Rylie bonked his furry head into Ciro’s palm. “Goodbye.”
Aella watched Ciro thank each of them, but she couldn't make a move. He really had saved her in more ways then one. If the portal had never opened up beneath her, should would be dead in an alley somewhere with no one to find her an indefinite amount of time.
At some point or another she would have gotten herself killed by doing something stupid or risky. The journey had taught her so much more then she would ever had back home, and the cold streets of New York were now nothing compared to Borealis. "Thank you," she said, giving a little nod. "Thank you so much.""
She smiled at Ciro, a little less tense knowing she'd have a while longer with him by her side. "Right." She answered, nodding. She hesitantly outstretched a flame-free hand to him, watching for his reaction. "Together?"
"Always," Ciro agreed, far more immediately than he probably should've for saying something so bold as that. He settled his hand around hers, careful to keep his grip loose enough so as not to shut off her circulation- like he may or may not have done quite a few times before.
Then he turned his attention to Taquikkar. It wasn't as if leaving her behind was an even a conceivable option.
...
He really was about to bring a monstrous prehistoric wolf into a modern society that couldn't even tolerate today's diminutive lupines.
Oh, well, they'd also brought all the little boys back, and their combined force was far beyond Taquikkar's level of impact.
"Come on, girl," he encouraged, placing his free hand just behind her nearest shoulder blade and working her first paw into the portal. He'd -or, at least, tried to- trained her exclusively in Portsmoth, so there was no better way to get down onto her level. Also, he'd considered how it would likely one day come to usefulness when no one outside of their group could command her. "Forward. It's okay, I promise." Taquikkar tilted her head back at him, but didn't further question the unknown he was asking her to brave first and slid on through.
Ciro took the deepest breath of today, perhaps of the past three months, raised his and Aella's joined hands in a final salute to Borealis, and stepped into the portal.
~~~this is them aimlessly drifting between the loosened threads of the fabric of reality~~~
"So it really did dump us all back together again," he trumpeted when they emerged smack-dab in the middle of a familiar impatient horde. "Fantastic!"
Kipp gave her an apprehensive glance, that quickly changed to an apologetic smile, as he relaxed. He hadn't realized anyone noticed him in all the commotion.
"Harder than it should be." He said hanging his head. "It's stupid, I can face down giant monsters that shouldn't even exist. But I'm too scared to call my own family." Kipp smiled at the boys as the silliness continued. "I don't... want to go, not yet."
(I'm so slow. :3)
Kipp grabbed the nearest hand to his surprised to see Fred on the other end of the arm.
"Oh, Hi." He said with a silly grin, excited for the new adventure in Russia, even though he had no idea what to expect.
“So what’s with you and-“ Fred lowered his voice “Cam? Am I imagining things or are there some sparks there?”
Cam looked over at the terrible whisperer. “Yeah, there are. And I’m not afraid to admit it.” Even if I am afraid to face my parents.
Rylie removed himself and Kyle saluted as Aella and Ciro entered the portal. With that, Rylie trotted into the thick of the Laefeslay.
Kyle with poisoned darts. Rylie with teeth and claw. Off to find another adventure.
He loved this place. The struggle to survive was real here, so palpable, and Kyle loved it. Loved all of it.
