Nothing made Kipp want to go back to bed more than the thought of having to leave. They'd only just gotten to what seemed like a reasonably safe place. He didn't want to leave. He felt guilty though, knowing that there were still kids trapped back there. But really what could a bunch of teenagers do? Even if they did have special powers, it seemed everyone else here did too.
The people in this town initially seemed standoffish, but after last night, the way Ashira had described the people of Borealis had shone though. People who were there for each other, willing to help even strangers where they could.
Kipp didn't know what to say to answer Cam's question. As soon as they were ready, was the reasonable answer, but that was more urgent sounding than he wanted to say. He wouldn't mind staying here for a while, it had been a rough week. It was fair for him to want a day without danger and fear wasn't it?
"We need a guide, and clothes, food... weapons. Someone to show us how to use them would be good too. Hana and Kevin I think are the only ones who have their own weapons. Though, I guess, some of us have our abilities we can rely on." Kipp frowned at the back of Charlies head, wondering if a mind controlling bad guy would be able to control someone he couldn't see, but quickly dismissed the idea. Olim was able to control the we-sa without being with them, so he must be able to control people he couldn't see.
"First, we need breakfast. We can all go, get enough food for everybody and bring it back. Then figure out how to convince Kyle he's the best man for the daycare job."
