After helping Aella to the large yellow barn, Hana stood mesmerized by all the dragons of different colors and sizes. They were beautiful, nothing like the dragons that were depicted in Japanese folklore. The smell of manure though, was too over powering for her nostrils and soon left, following after Korim and the others that tagged along. Before leaving, she gave Aella and Carson a small wave, even if they probably wouldn’t catch her farewell. Before entering any further into the decently sized home, she removed her combat boots out of habit and left them by the front door, as she walked into the kitchen in her socks, she was welcomed with the sweet smells of a lovely breakfast. It reminded her of of the breakfasts that were served in America, warm, sweet, and filling. She was always intrigued by the fact that Americans had to drown their breakfasts in sugary sweet syrup when she returned to live in San Francisco four years ago. The breakfasts she had in Japan weren’t as unhealthy, but she grew up with them. Typically steamed rice, miso soup, a protein such as grilled fish, and other side dishes. She glanced around at Korims family, feeling like she and the others were interrupting their peaceful family breakfast. Her stomach grumbled softly, forcing her hand to it as if it would calm it.
