The Hidden Door Chat Thread

that’s relatable

Honestly, I’m impressed by anyone who takes the time to try and draw something, so I look at them for ages trying to figure out the motivation behind each of the lines on the picture.
Hmm, motivation?

I see parts of a story in my head, and that makes me want to share it with others so they can see it too.

That looks awesome LB! :wee
I see no difference.
You’re Take’s owner. That’s canon now ya know.
It all makes sense now...

Nope I legitimately forgot it wasn’t spelt that way.

Kipp be like: what’s this guy doing going around half-naked all the time.

:clap
fabulous art
Kipp’s so smol. He reminds me of a friend of mine, seeing that juxtaposition.

Sometimes I can get super specific about what lines I use in a face to make it specific to that character.
Like with Clucky’s character. I gave her a round head sweep and almost a convex topline on the muzzle which gave her a less streamlined face than usual on a Dobe. And I put more detail into the ears than I usually do. I’m weird like that.

Oh, well... for character creation sure. That's something that I put thought in to, refining too, but if I'm drawing already existing characters, unless it's a facial expression I've not drawn on them before, that kind of work is already done. Especially if it's someone elses character that has been drawn before. Not a lot of guess work. Maybe frustration, because they draw things differently than I do. Like HAIR. :-| But it's easier with a reference.
