We did treatments the other way around. Apivar in the early spring, and Formic Pro for the second treatment. When we thought we'd get honey...

Going into the low 50s and AM rain. Some will still get out for cleansing flights and probably be in a bad mood, give 'em a quick glance walking by when I chk coop for eggs. Getting antsy to go deep in the boxes but the weather keeps me in chk.

Into the mid 50s next wk, check on the stores, was thinking of dropping some pollen patties to jump start the queen for spring bees but the night temps are still in the low to mid 20s, maybe asking a bit much of the cluster. PATIENCE!! Guess I'll occupy myself with some Veg Garden futzing.

40s next week. I might see some of the bees flying.

The ground will still be frozen solid, so even if all the snow melts, I won't be doing anything in the garden. Sigh.

Bees flying yesterday and should fly rest of the week. All 3 hives still alive.

Today mid 50s and bright sun, bees are crazy. With the temps staying mid to high 50s all wk with the night temps low to mid 30s. Formic Pro treatment maybe next wk and start them on last springs honey instead of sugar syrup. Checked the extra frames for wax moth and no sign, some refresh with crushed moth balls. Can't wait to unwrap and pull entrance reducers. Hives coming through the winter strong.

We'll be checking them tomorrow. Today was warm, but very windy. I saw them flying just a couple days ago.

I've ordered a nuc to replace the hive that died. It'll be available in June.

My two hives made it through the winter and were out flying.

Mine are all still alive, but they still have another solid month of winter weather to go.

Oh, we surely have more winter.
