Awhile back I posted that my new mare escaped her stall. She had been out and the door still latched, so I assumed she went over the door. I blocked the openings and the next day she was out with the door open.
So now that it's nice weather she goes out with the geldings during the day. They have dutch doors from the stalls to their paddock.
Last week my husband asked me why I had the mare locked in an outside stall. I was stumped...I would not have closed any of them in. Next day another horse was locked inside a stall.
I watched out the window and saw my togg doe unlatch the hook and eye that keeps the bottom door open, close the door with her head and latch the slide bolt with her horn! I had to put a rock in front of each door until I can get locking hooks.
So this goat not only wants to dominate the other goats, but she wants to control the horses too.
What a stinker!
