I have this one Tolkien book that my dad gave me that looks like it was recovered from some interdimensional archives

I think the reason they were so expensive was because they’re hard cover and have giant foldout maps and on series has very impressive artwork in it

OK BUT DON'T START WITH THE LOST BOOKS. THEY'RE ALL SUPPOSED TO BE STAND ALONE SERIES BUT THEY'RE SO INTERTWINED THINGS MADE MORE SENSE TO ME AFTER I READ THE CIRCLE *TRILOGY* FIRST (Trilogy only, I haven't finished Green and haven't really liked it so far).
