Trash can makes total sense. What you throw the trash in is a big "can", for your trash. Back then it was more accurate because the trash cans actually looked like giant cans, hence the name. I just say trash though. Anything added to it is too proper and I'd probably get made fun of for it.

I don't think 95% of Americans are like that You just don't see them because they're out working real jobs and not caring about that stuff.
