I've been living with an automobile nerd for 18 years, and all he ever does is yap about cars to the point I've evolved to stop hearing anything when he starts

Pretty much-

Ask my siblings about what it's like when someone disposes of old electronics by giving them to me. Especially Apple ones. They will say I don't shut up about it for a while.

Honestly, when I want a book, I just request it at the library, and I work there so I know exactly when it comes in and usually have it checked out before it even touches the shelves.
I've requested almost all of the Minecraft novels and about half of the Sonic The Hedgehog comic series.
On bad days I just sit on the floor in front of the Minecraft novels and read random pages from all of them for like an hour

Come to think of it, I know what I'll be doing for spring break

Like…I don’t even understand the excitement myself but there’s a lot of it.

Come to think of it, I know what I'll be doing for spring break

You have a really good way to get those books. My sister will often check the new shelf at the library here and she says all the good stuff is gone usually by the time she gets to it.

Also, the library here has a poor selection according to her (the LA County Library had a huge selection and libraries in who knows how many cities, so pooling all that together against El Paso being literally the only place right here with a library system is a bit unfair).

We don’t have a library close by so whenever I want books I just stick them in my thriftbooks cart and wait for my next payday

It’s hard to recommend Halo novels tho because it’s extremely daunting starting from the beginning of however many there are but if they haven’t played the games they have no context.
Really the forerunner stuff is the only stuff you don’t need context for.

Last Sunday I was given two old MacBook Pros. I think my brother was tired of hearing about them. I have watched too many MacBook restoration videos and the chance to get these up and running was too much to not be excited about.
