The joy of owning Silkies!!

Hi all! I thought I'd start a thread for those of us who have silkies. Maybe share some picts and tell why you love the silkie breed. I'll start. I love having silkies because they are so kind and loving! Mine love to sleep in my lap while getting a pet. They purr so happily when I pet them. Here is a pic of one of my girls on my lap. Her name is peepers. I think silkies are just so adorable!!

I don't have any silkies, (maybe one day) but I think they are gorgeous. Their little faces remind me of an owl. She looks quite content on your lap.

Heh, should i even comment. Well I have 7 chickens. 6 pure silkies. 2 Blacks - Hens , 2 Partridge ( Roo's ) , Blue-Hen , Red ( Hen ) Love of my life. And a Silkie x Polish x Cochin cross. Head of a polish body of a cochin feet of a silkie. As you can tell i love my chickens lol.

I love my chickens too! They sure have a way of stealing your heart don't they! ! I'd love to see the picture of your cross with the Polish head! Sounds so interesting! !
